Question 1

How does the finder sort the depots?

Accepted Answer

Balanced uses the junior score from our comparison: costs 40%, product choice 20%, usability 15%, service 15% and extras 10%. Any other answer gives the category you picked more weight. The finder then shows the first three depots.

Question 2

Where do the scores come from?

Accepted Answer

They are the same category scores and the same overall score as in our junior depot comparison. The finder has no data of its own, so the finder and the comparison table cannot disagree.

Question 3

Why does the finder only show depots?

Accepted Answer

The finder compares investment accounts in the child’s name. Current accounts for pocket money and the parents’ own accounts answer different questions; you find them in the comparison article.

Question 4

What does “promotion” mean here?

Accepted Answer

A promotion that the provider listed on its page when we last checked it. We show the check date next to it. Promotions end or change, so confirm the terms with the provider before you open an account.
